A downloadable game

Cryptway is a 2.5D puzzle / platformer where you play as a young girl trying to gather your recently deceased dog's belongings in an attempt to perform a ritual to bring him back.  You have 10 minutes to complete each stage while dodging spikes, moving traps, and more.

This game was made during the 2016 Global Game Jam and was the Best-In-Show at Fitchburg State University and was subsequently inducted into the Visions 2016 showcase shortly thereafter. The inspiration for this game was based off of difficult platformers like Super Meat Boy, and I believe that we did a good job of achieving that. There were many obstacles I had to overcome, considering it was the first game I made that was complete from start to finish.

Since the time constraints were so harsh, I didn't get as much into the game as I would have liked to but regardless I was very happy with how it turned out. As the programmer I created all of the major systems including movement, objectives, level design, and many other aspects. I started by designing each of the levels, of which there are 10, and making them increasingly more difficult as time goes on.
